Unless it is your hobby, the main goal of any WordPress blog should be to make money.

With that being said, there are 3 important requirements to making money from your WordPress blog.

• You must have relevant and unique content
• You must have interesting posts
• You must monetize your blog

Relevant unique content that will not bore the reader:

We have all read posts that have no relevant information and what do we do… back space and get out. It is important to capture their attention and captivate them so that they will want to keep coming back for more information and hopefully they will tell others about your blog.

There are several ways to monetize your WordPress blog:

• Affiliate programs (for example):

Linkshare.com

ShareaSale.com

CJ.com

You can join an affiliate program and promote their products and the merchant will pay you a commission for each sale you are responsible for. I highly recommend that you seek out these top networks for affiliate programs that are relevant to your “niche”. Many pay very well and will be an excellent addition to helping you make money with a WordPress blog posts.

• Set up content networks like Google Adsense to your blog:

Including ads from a content network is an easy way to earn extra income from your WordPress blog. Someone visits your blog, sees an ad that interest them, they click on it and you get paid. It is not a lot of money, but if you can get a lot of traffic to your blog, it can add up quickly.

• Sell your own product and keep 100% of the profit:

There are several ways that you can sell your own products or services online. If you

have tangible products or used goods, you can sell them on either:

There are excellent built-in plugins in WordPress that allow you to easily add your eBay listings into your blog or to add a Paypal payment link on to your blog.

Search Engine Optimization for a New Website

Once you have completed finding your new niche to market to and you have completed all your research, it is now time to start to build a well optimized website for the search engines. Before you even start your new website, it is very important to remember that original and quality content is king! Sometimes webmasters don’t understand why they can’t get off page 2 or 3 after increasing website rankings. One of the main reasons is lack of original, quality information. This shows you how important is to keep adding more original content whenever you can to show Google that your site is constantly evolving.

First we need our website to be hosted somewhere and I highly recommend
Hostgator.com. It is the hosting company that I use for many reasons. You can host unlimited domains with unlimited bandwidth for just $9 a month and customer service is by far the best I’ve seen, they really are awesome. When you have ordered your hosting servers, you will have to wait for about one day and they will set it up and get it up and running for you. The next day and often sooner, you will be able to point your DNS servers from where you bought your domain and point them to Hostgator nameservers and start building your website. The domain service I prefer to use is
www.GoDaddy.com I have found their support and service to be excellent as well. A little warning about Godaddy, they offer a tremendous amount of up sales you don’t need. You only need a domain, so just get you domain and get out.

If you are good with HTML coding you can use Dreamweaver www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver for website designing purposes. It is a paid for product and costs around $400. I personally like to use free site like:

Komposer – http://www.kompozer.net
Nvu- http://www.net2.com/nvu/download.html

They are both very good and very easy to use. Best of all, they’re FREE!

Before starting your website, we are going to go back to the research we did as we were investigating our niche. We must ask ourselves a few questions:

* What will be your target audience?
* What benefits will your website bring to its visitors?
* How your website is going to be useful?
* How you can monetize your website?
* What advantages will your website have over your competition?

Once you are totally clear on all the above, you are ready to start building your website. By answering these question it will make website development much easier and relevant to the search engines. This will help ensure that success will be right around the corner. The most important part as an internet marketer or affiliate marketer is to be able to really understand your target market. Put yourself in their shoes and really understand their problems that they need to resolve. From there, you are in a far better place to find real solutions to their problems. If you forget about trying to make a sale and really try to help your niche market with quality content and a product that solves their solution, a relevant website to your product and relevant original content; you will make money!

There are many ways to monetize your website. Here are just a few:

• Promote affiliate products
• Adding Adsense to your site
• Capturing people’s email address in an opt-in box, so that you have access to communicate to these people again anytime in the future.
