How to Make Money With a WordPress Blog
Unless it is your hobby, the main goal of any WordPress blog should be to make money.
With that being said, there are 3 important requirements to making money from your WordPress blog.
- You must have relevant and unique content
- You must have interesting posts
- You must monetize your blog
Relevant unique content that will not bore the reader:
We have all read posts that have no relevant information and what do we do… back space and get out. It is important to capture their attention and captivate them so that they will want to keep coming back for more information and hopefully they will tell others about your blog.
There are several ways to monetize your WordPress blog:
- Affiliate programs (for example):
You can join an affiliate program and promote their products and the merchant will pay you a commission for each sale you are responsible for. I highly recommend that you seek out these top networks for affiliate programs that are relevant to your “niche”. Many pay very well and will be an excellent addition to helping you make money with a WordPress blog posts.
- Set up content networks like Google Adsense to your blog:
Including ads from a content network is an easy way to earn extra income from your WordPress blog. Someone visits your blog, sees an ad that interest them, they click on it and you get paid. It is not a lot of money, but if you can get a lot of traffic to your blog, it can add up quickly.
- Sell your own product and keep 100% of the profit:
There are several ways that you can sell your own products or services online. If you
have tangible products or used goods, you can sell them on either:

There are excellent built-in plugins in WordPress that allow you to easily add your eBay listings into your blog or to add a Paypal payment link on to your blog.
